In October 2002 the Prime Minister announced that the ACCC would monitor medical indemnity premiums to assess whether they are actuarially and commercially justified. This is the first of these monitoring reports to be produced by the ACCC over the years.
The first set of accounting separation reports were publicly released by the ACCC in December 2003. They presented current cost accouting figures for the 2002-03 financial year, and imputation testing and non-price terms and conditions results for the September quarter 2003.
The 2002-03 container stevedoring monitoring report presents information on the financial and operational performance of the monitored container stevedores, as well as observations regarding key developments within the sector.
